How many children are in a course?

We limit our group size to a maximum of 6 participants.

What are the technical requirements for an online course?

Access to a computer or laptop and internet.

Can I also book private classes?

Yes, we offer individual lessons online and in exceptional cases also in person. It's best to register here.

Do I have to bring my own laptop?

Yes. If this is not possible, we can recommend a company where one can be rented.

What is the cancellation/change policy for in-person courses?

Free cancellation up to 6 weeks before the course. Thereafter 50% of fees will be returned up until 2 weeks before the course start. Course changes can be made. Please read our full policy here.

Under what circumstances will a course be cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel an in-person course if we have fewer than 3 registrations. If this is the case, we will inform you in advance and refund the course fees. The online course will still take place even if we have fewer than 3 registrations. Please read our full policy here.

In which programing language is the class taught?

In which programming language is the class taught?• This depends on the course. We offer courses from Blockly & Scratch (visual programming languages) to Python, C++ and Javascript. You can find details on the respective course page.

Does an iPad or Android tablet suffice for online classes?

No, currently children need to access our platform via a browser on a laptop or computer. (We are working on making it possible to access our platform directly via tablet as soon as possible. We will inform you through our newsletter when this is the case.)

At what age can my child participate in online classes?

We do not have a strict age limit, but we recommend a minimum age of 9 years old. It is assumed that the child is able to handle a keyboard, mouse, and trackpad. (To comply with the privacy policies for minors, we obtain the parents' permission before starting and inform them.)

Wieso arbeiten wir an Kids.Code?

Unsere Mission ist es, dass online Klassenunterricht Spass macht, sozial und interaktiv ist. Statt störender Apps, die um die Aufmerksamkeit von Kindern kämpfen oder monotone Videolektionen, wollen wir Online-Unterricht anbieten, als wäre man in einem Klassenzimmer zusammen mit Freunden.

Wir glauben, dass Programmieren eine wesentliche Fähigkeit ist, die Kinder in der heutigen Welt lernen sollten. Mit der zunehmenden Präsenz, die Computer in unserem Leben einnehmen, ist es wichtig zu verstehen, wie sie funktionieren und wie man sie einsetzen kann.

Wir möchten eine hervorragende Umgebung bieten, die es Kindern ermöglicht, in einer kleinen Gruppe zu lernen. Wir glauben, dass dies langfristig zu den besten Lernergebnissen führt, da die Kinder individuelle Aufmerksamkeit erhalten und gleichzeitig Spass daran haben, mit ihren KollegInnen zusammenzuarbeiten.

Wir sind überzeugt, dass Programmieren eine Fähigkeit ist, die jeder haben sollte. Egal welcher Herkunft, Talent oder Vorkenntnisse.

Unsere App bringt Kinder online zusammen, um zu programmieren. Und das ist erst der Anfang!
